Since the creation of a unique 1/10 GP buggy category with the launch of the DBX, the Kyosho D-series has gone from strength to strength with the introduction of the DRX Rally and the DMT monster truck. Kyosho's formidable reputation for GP models is extended to electric machines with the introduction of the VE-series, incorporating the latest Team Orion brushless motor technology. The excellent performance of all three models in the D-series, the DBX, DRX and DMT, will be available in both GP and EP (VE) versions. Now the proven performance of the D-series represents the full spectrum of off-road racing.
The D-series is defined into three clear categories. For tearing up rough road and off-road terrain, and for flying spectacularly over jumps, the DBX 2.0 buggy has no fear! Built with a lightweight chassis that's tough enough to handle 1/8 size wheels and tires, the DBX 2.0 achieves dynamic off-road performance that is comparable to 1/8 size buggies. Next, the DRX created a unique rally experience with its factory-licensed WRC scale bodies and characteristic performance across on-road, off-road and even flat dirt. Last but fast is the DMT with its definitive monster truck style and power. All models feature a factory-assembled chassis with 1/8 size performance truck tires, and a factory-painted body in a ReadySet package that includes a dynamic Syncro 2.4GHz radio system. The D-series is the most ultimate user-friendly, high-performance model you will ever experience.
The next focus is the power source. Both GP and EP (VE) specifications are available in all three categories (DBX and DRX will become available in 2011)
Kyosho's GP racing heritage and more experience in nitro racing than ANY other company in the World, has resulted in the development of engines that are easy to start, easy to use, and that pack plenty of power. This is the essence of the GXR18SP engine that is featured in the D-series. Fitted with a recoil starter, but without a one-way bearing for greater efficiency, anyone can manage the GXR18SP's easy starting, tuning and superior drivability. With its anodized cooling head, the GP D-series lives up to the reputation Kyosho has established over so many years. < Required for Operation >

With the most respected brand in R/C electronics, and multi-time World and Nationals Champions in brushless electric racing at the heart of the VE series vehicles, the advanced Team Orion Vortex 10 brushless motor and ESC deliver dynamic performance. With instant throttle response and more nimble handling than GP models, the electric VE versions are fast becoming an equally popular category. The most difficult aspect is deciding between the singing exhaust note and dynamic power of the GP versions, or the crushing torque and linear power delivery of the electric versions - your choice!. < Required for operation >

The D-series vehicles benefit from many common parts throughout the entire series, which makes changing to a different style of vehicle simple and cost effective. Changing to an entirely different style of vehicle is as simple as adding the unique suspension parts, body and mounts, and the wheel/tire combos. You can even switch between EP and GP versions by simply changing the chassis plate and the power system. You'll have six great choices regardless of which vehicle is the first. There are also many common parts in each vehicle, which means just a handful of parts can be used to repair any damage. Instead of carrying 8 suspension arms for example, just one upper and one lower arm will facilitate a repair on any corner of the suspension. There are also many other common parts that deliver the same type of economy when it comes time to stock up on replacement parts.
With component interchangeability, the D-series breaks the established rules for R/C cars. With six difference ways to experience R/C off-road excitement, your first machine is just the beginning!
