Kyosho's Factory Driver Cody King has won the 2010 IFMAR 1/8th GP Off-Road World’s piloting our Inferno MP9 TKI2. We would like to congratulate him for this big career win!
This win brought us an unbelievable 8th IFMAR title out of the 10th events from 1992. Also, Jared Tebo TQ’ed this event and finished 3rd.
2 Out of the top 3 cars at the podium were Inferno MP9 TKI 2. Cody King has proved the performance of the car and his driving abilities under one of the toughest track conditions in the history of IFMAR events. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our support suppliers, Team Orion, AKA, Ko Propo and Byron Fuels.
Both Cody and Jared’s driving skills are at a new world class level and they proved it at this years IFMAR worlds event, using only out of the box components, no “Special Car” here.
Out of the 171 entrees, 17% of the racers chose Kyosho to compete in this event and this was the highest racers to manufactures ratio.
Inferno MP9 TKI2 is the newest and the world’s finest off-road racing machine.
The weapon that can bring a podium finish every time.
We would like to thank all “Red Samurai's” who competed at this years 2010 IFMAR Worlds with a Kyosho Inferno and bringing the trophy back home.

My emotions after crossing the finish line are still going around in my head. With the amount of talent at the IFMAR Worlds, anybody in the final is capable of winning, but I managed to pull it off this time. A lot of this has to do with desire, or hunger to win. I really wanted to win and put in the effort to do it.
To win in this race, you needed to be tough in all aspects. This means your own mind set and team work with your pit crew. Communication throughout the event and weeks and months prior to the race is critical. The Pattaya track with concrete and metal fences made it even harder to finish a 10 minute heat, let alone a one hour main. Also with off camber turns trying to drag you down to the outside..
I was able to trust the Inferno MP9 until the end even in this kind of condition. Great performance, solid construction, stability, controllable characteristic, with wide range of set up options made me survive this race flawlessly… So I guess the toughest guy was probably the Inferno MP9! I think the Inferno MP9 is the best choice to win any 1/8th scale buggy race.
I was pleased to attain my goals... 2nd qualifier and fast lap for round 1, qualified directly into the semi, solid performance in the semi, and win the final. I'm very happy with the whole week's result.
Anyways, I would like to thank Team Kyosho International, all my sponsors, my Family and my fans. Count on me to give my best effort to win in the future as well! - Cody King, 2010/2011 IFMAR 1/8 Scale Fuel Off-Road World Champion.
